With "My mother said my name", Mads H. Odgaard (b. 1968) makes his debut as a novelist. Odgaard has written a number of columns in newspapers about boys and education, women and gender equality, racism and the future of the welfare state. For many years he lived from leading strategic research projects and new forms of innovation.  He lives in Copenhagen, Denmark.
